Minimum Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or counseling fields and/or LADC II or equivalent specialty.</li>
<li>Master’s degree in related field with at least 1 year of direct clinical experience in a behavioral healthcare or substance abuse setting OR a Bachelor’s degree and initial clinical licensure of certification, with 5 or more years serving as an individual clinician within the related field.</li>
<li>Master’s degree with Independent Licensure (LADC 1, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or related). At least 3 years of direct clinical experience in a behavioral healthcare or substance abuse setting.</li>

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment and uses standard office equipment. The noise level is usually moderate. 
Physical Demands: Regularly required to talk or hear; frequently use hands to handle objects; occasionally stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; occasionally lift/move objects up to 25 pounds; specific vision abilities required.

Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>• Supervise nursing care in accordance with rules, regulations &amp; guidelines governing long-term care. • Ensure all nursing personnel assigned to you comply with written policies and procedures. • Ensure that all nursing personnel comply with procedures set forth by the organization. • Assure the implementation of resident care plans. • Conduct assessments and care plans appropriate for residents admitted to the facility. • Communicate pertinent information and interpret facility policies to residents, staff, families and visitors. • Communicate effectively will all disciplines. • Keep DON informed of information of any changes in resident condition. • Review, investigate and document properly all incidents/accidents. • Coordinate orientation for new nursing staff. • Implement progressive discipline when appropriate. • Evaluate emergency situations and take appropriate action. • Participate in facility surveys made by authorized agencies. • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required. • Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, charting, etc., as necessary. • Complete and file required record keeping forms/charts upon the resident’s admission, transfer, and or discharge. • Receive phone orders from physicians and record on the Physician’s Order Form. • Chart all reports of accidents/incidents involving residents. Follow established procedures. • Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician. • Verify the identity of the resident after administering the medication/treatment. • Ensure adequate medications, supplies, and equipment are available. Report needs to DON. • Ensure narcotic records are accurate for your shift. • Notify DON of all drug and narcotic discrepancies. • Performs all job responsibilities in accordance with safety and infection control policies and procedures, including thorough hand washing, use of disposable gloves where indicated and proper disposal of soiled materials. • Follow established policies concerning exposure to blood/body fluids. • All responsibilities will be conducted in a manner that exhibits the IHC mission, vision, and core values.</li>

Requirements of the Nurse Supervisor:

<li>Registered Nurse in the State of Massachusetts</li>
<li>Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care facility preferred</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills; detail oriented</li>
<li>Exceptional critical thinking skills</li>
<li>High level of professionalism and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards</li>
<li>Must have compassion, tolerance and understanding for older adults.</li>
