The Opportunity
The Corporate Function Program Management Office (CFPMO) is seeking an experienced project manager to support the stand-up of the new organization supporting Corporate Finance, Enterprise Risk, and Investment Management initiatives. In this role, you will report directly to the Investment Management Portfolio Lead and be accountable for the planning, day-to-day execution, management, implementation and reporting of projects while using the defined&nbsp;project management (PM) processes and standards. The Impact:
As the Investment Management Project Manager, you will:

<li>Partner with Project Sponsors and Functional Managers to compile Discovery artifacts such as a Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA), Project Charter, high level Resource Plan, and high-level Milestone Plan to be reviewed to receive Discovery Funding</li>
<li>Develop and maintain required Detailed Planning artifacts and manage plan execution</li>
<li>Determine project scope and manage scope execution across multiple large projects or medium to large programs where scope is subject to change, contains high complexity and high degree of risk, large number of resources, and complex organizational change issues that support complex enterprise or strategic corporate goals</li>
<li>Develop financial forecasts, record cost variance, anticipate and address delivery challenges, and request budget changes if needed following associated Change Request Process</li>

Summary
We are seeking a resourceful and collaborative Senior Applications Engineer, Manufacturing Systems IT to support the operational technology (OT) environment in our GMP manufacturing facility. This role blends hands-on troubleshooting with systems stewardship, ensuring our industrial PCs, servers, and related devices operate reliably, securely, and in compliance with regulatory expectations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver who balances quick action with careful consideration of the broader operational and compliance impacts of each change.
This position partners closely with our Automation Engineering team, process support staff, and corporate IT infrastructure teams, acting as the bridge between manufacturing operations and enterprise technology. The right candidate will be service-minded, team-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
This position is site-based and requires a presence on-site three days per week, and open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage and perform OS and hardware troubleshooting for industrial PCs, servers (physical and virtual), and related OT devices.
· Support industrial HMIs (e.g., PanelView) on OS/network aspects in partnership with Automation.
· Administer and maintain disk imaging, backup, and recovery processes for industrial PCs.
· Act as the primary OT network liaison, coordinating with corporate IT infrastructure to maintain VLANs, firewall rules, and network availability for manufacturing systems.
· Support and document GMP device management (e.g., GMP printers, GPS clock) with clear, audit-ready records.
· Author and maintain IT change control documentation; contribute detailed IT procedures to Automation-led GxP change controls when applicable.
· Partner with Automation to schedule and test system updates to ensure application compatibility.
· Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for IT-related incidents in manufacturing.
· Maintain and enhance documentation to ensure systems and processes are well-understood and sustainable.
· Build positive, trust-based relationships across manufacturing, engineering, and IT teams.
· Support patch management for manufacturing IT systems, including industrial PCs and servers; rebuild and maintain the patching program to ensure consistency, reliability, and compliance.
Qualifications &amp; Skills
· 7+ years of progressive experience of increasing responsibility supporting and managing manufacturing IT systems, or equivalent.
· Strong troubleshooting skills with a creative, solution-focused mindset.
· Experience with Windows Server and virtualization platforms (VMware preferred).
· Basic SQL skills and willingness to deepen knowledge as needed.
· Understanding of network fundamentals (VLANs, firewall rules, segmentation) and ability to collaborate with network engineers.
· Comfort working in regulated environments; GxP or GMP experience a plus, but not required if willing to learn.

Job Overview:
A successful candidate will possess several years of practical experience in software engineering, integration and testing, and networking concepts and protocols. They will demonstrate a proven ability to take ownership of technical challenges and deliver results in collaborative, fast-paced environments. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of computer science concepts, sound software engineering principles, and hands-on experience working on Linux systems. Experienced engineers at STR are expected to work independently while contributing meaningfully to team efforts and mentoring less experienced team members.

In this role, you will take a leadership role in designing, implementing, and testing software that enhances advanced real-time data communications and networking solutions using open systems principles. What you will do:

<li>Collaborate closely with a small, dedicated research team to develop innovative solutions to complex problems</li>
<li>Take ownership of significant features or components of projects and deliver them with minimal supervision</li>
<li>Lead technical discussions, guide architectural decisions, and mentor junior engineers </li>
<li>Develop and test novel software solutions spanning research, development, and deployed production systems </li>
<li>Analyze and improve existing designs and processes to optimize performance </li>
<li>Deliver high-quality software in a rapid-paced, research-focused team environment </li>
<li>Develop operational prototypes for experimentation and performance analysis </li>
<li>Create customer-facing operational systems, ensuring they meet high reliability and usability standards </li>
</ul>
Who you are:
<ul>
<li>This position requires the ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is required by the U.S. Government </li>
<li>5+ years of experience in relevant software engineering roles </li>
<li>Proficient in Python, C, C++, or similar interpreted or low-level programming languages </li>
<li>Experienced with designing and implementing open architectures and rapid prototyping methodologies </li>
<li>Strong working knowledge of software testing, evaluation best practices, and industry-standard development lifecycles </li>
<li>Significant hands-on experience developing software with GNU/Linux toolchains using open-source software </li>
<li>Deep understanding of networking principles, including the 5-layer OSI networking stack </li>
<li>Strong team player with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written </li>
<li>Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Electrical &amp; Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent expertise gained through prior roles </li>
</ul>
Nice to Have:
<ul>
<li>Active Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance </li>
<li>Advanced experience in Python, MATLAB, and/or other high-level programming languages </li>
<li>Proven ability to build, deploy, and maintain production-ready software systems </li>
<li>Experience writing software in a multi-party, large-scale codebase </li>
<li>Demonstrated success managing technical challenges in experimental/laboratory environments, including performing quantitative analysis </li>
<li>Familiarity with multi-threaded or multi-core real-time operating concepts </li>
<li>Knowledge of high-level software architecture design and scalability principles </li>
<li>Demonstrated leadership abilities, including mentoring junior staff and contributing to team efficiency </li>
</ul>
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $134,000 - $184,000
The salary range listed is based on external market data. Final offers are based on factors, such as but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, training, key skills/critical skills, security clearances, and prevailing market and business conditions.
