The PCM Skills Trainer will educate consumers on how to successfully manage their consumer-directed hands-on care and will also be primarily responsible for other skills training department wide tasks and processes.

 Essential Job Functions
<ul>
<li>Follow-up on assigned referrals in a timely manner as determined by contract.</li>
<li>Assess consumers’ ability to manage PCA services.</li>
<li>Train consumers and/or surrogates the skills needed to manage their PCA program as outlined in the Mass Health Service Agreement and according to the Personal Care Management (PCM) Contract.</li>
<li>Maintain confidentiality in all consumer related issues.</li>
<li>Attend in-service, supervision and staff development meetings when requested by manager.</li>
<li>Demonstrate a working knowledge of program policies and procedures and Mass Health regulations.</li>
<li>Demonstrate a commitment to the Independent Living philosophy of consumer control.</li>
<li>Must report all suspected incidents of consumer sexual/physical abuse and neglect to the Disabled Person Protection Commission (DPPC).</li>
<li>Work within company policies and in accordance with the PCM Contract in order to complete and track for receipt of required documentation within required timelines:</li>
<li>Assigned referrals and intake documentation</li>
<li>Service Agreements and Assessments for re-evaluations</li>
<li>Supportive documentation for intakes and re-evaluations as needed</li>
<li>Return all phone calls from surrogates and consumers within 48 hours.</li>
<li>Work within policies to complete and submit internal requirements:</li>
<li>Progress Notes</li>
<li>Dayforce, Outlook Schedule</li>
<li>Mileage and Expense Forms</li>
<li>Follow up with Manager and/or Program Assistant on requests for skills training and tracking reports:
<ul>
<li>Non-billing, overbilling and ineligible consumers</li>
<li>Major problems requiring skills training</li>
<li>Consumer status updates</li>
<li>Quarterly and Annual Reviews</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Skills Trainer Manager</li>

 Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Experience providing services for persons with disabilities and knowledge of PCA programs is preferred.</li>
<li>Experience or education in teaching or counseling is helpful.</li>
<li>Knowledge of community resources and social service systems is beneficial.</li>
<li>Excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills.</li>
<li>Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office/Outlook and the ability to navigate databases.</li>
<li>Specialized training provided as needed.</li>
</ul>
 Required Education

<li>Bachelor’s Degree preferred; GED or High School Diploma required.</li>
</ul>

QUALIFICATIONS:

<li>Experience coaching at the high school level.</li>
<li>Previous successful coaching experience preferred</li>
<li>Experience playing at the collegiate level is preferred.</li>
<li>Ability to organize and supervise all levels of a sports program.</li>
<li>Be CPR/First Aid Certified (or willing to become certified)</li>
<li>Possess or be willing to obtain all MIAA/NFHS coaching education certifications.</li>

RESPONSIBILITIES:
While actual roles and responsibilities will vary depending on individual circumstances, the High School Varsity Girls Head Coach will generally be required to perform some or all of the following tasks. Note that this list is not all-inclusive and that the athletic director may also assign other tasks they deem appropriate.
* Conduct at least 5 practices/week (M, T, W, Th, every other Friday), including study halls. Study hall is conducted once a week.
* Attend games as necessary (approximately 10-15 per season)(All games are during the week)
* Assume responsibility for scholar dismissal to ensure all scholars are safe
* Uphold Argosy Collegiate expectations during practice and games
* Attend coaches meetings (2x per season, as necessary)
