INITIAL PRIORITIES OF POSITION:
<ul>
<li>Execution of daily maintenance practices of a top 100 facility including cultivation, water management, mowing and grooming practices, pest and fertility management, bunker maintenance and other attention to detail items.</li>
<li>Actively involved in daily scheduling and crew management with an emphasis on communication skills, leadership and cross-training.</li>
<li>Collaborates with other managers including Equipment Manager to ensure proper working conditions in the maintenance shop facilities and golf course.</li>
<li>Develop proper communication channels to check systems, processes and work activities for potential improvements.</li>
<li>Collects data and tracking information to present informed management decisions.</li>
<li>Engages in professional educational development including Golf Industry Show, leadership seminars, club presentations and grounds committee meetings.</li>
</ul>
COMPENSATION &amp; BENEFITS:

<li>Salary - $50,000-$60,000</li>

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Typical weekly work hours - 42-60 hours&nbsp;</li>
<li>Prefer Certificate, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree</li>
<li>Prefer at least one year of experience on the golf course or athletic field, but willing to train someone with a passion for golf and interest in the golf course industry.</li>
<li>Demonstrated strong written, verbal, interpersonal &amp; communication skills</li>
<li>Embraces daily use of technology and the ability to evolve with modern day practices&nbsp;</li>
<li>Excellent attitude with a bias towards action</li>

The Essex County Club was founded in 1893. The original Club House was completed the same year. At that time, the grounds included a full size polo field, two clay tennis courts, and a nine-hole golf course. Today, ECC boasts an expanded Club House, a Donald Ross designed eighteen-hole golf course (1917), eleven grass,ten clay tennis courts, three paddle tennis courts, three pickleball courts, and a full size swimming pool. All of these amenities are located on 180 acres in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts.
