Job Summary: Do you love caring for young children in a fun and safe environment? 
The Lead Child Care Attendant is responsible for the personal needs of children ages 2 months to 6 years (feeding, sleeping, diapering), and for a variety of children's activities such as art, story time, games, and outside play.

Job Responsibilities:

<li>Communicate with parents and coworkers in regards to the care of the children</li>
<li>Responsible for delivering varied children's activities such as art, story time, games, and outside play</li>

Job Requirements:

<li>High school diploma or equivalent - required</li>
<li>1+ years of experience working with children - required</li>
<li>Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds frequently throughout the day, position requires lifting and carrying children while playing or in the Day Care.</li>

The expected pay range is&nbsp;$22.00/hr - $24.23/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

As one of the largest providers of social service in Massachusetts, Catholic Charities of Boston offers over 70 programs and services in 23 locations around Eastern Massachusetts. 
We are currently seeking per diem Direct Care residential staff for the Brigid’s Crossing Family Services program located in Lowell. 
The Direct Care Staff is responsible for assisting, overseeing and instructing residents with parenting skills and activities of daily living to ensure a safe and positive living environment. Direct Care Staff is responsible for maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times while fostering a positive and mentoring relationship. 
 Qualifications include
<ul>
<li>An associate’s degree with three prior years of experience working with adolescents in a similar environment.</li>
<li>Current CPR and First Aid training certification</li>
<li>Experience with de-escalation skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work with diverse client population</li>
<li>Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail. </li>
<li>Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.</li>
<li>Bilingual, bicultural, Spanish, Khmer speaking ability preferred. </li>
<li>Competent computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite, and Internet</li>
<li>A valid Massachusetts driver’s license and good driving record.</li>
<li>Ability to lift, push and pull up to 10 pounds without assistance. </li>
</ul>
