<li>Document any exceptional performance as well as any concerning behavior shared with HR</li>

<li>Identify areas for professional growth for all direct reports and align with any available&nbsp; resources at UTEC</li>
<li>Ensure that all staff can identify the impact of their role on agency-wide goals and metrics for&nbsp; success&nbsp;</li>

Responsibilities&nbsp;
<ol>
<li>Integration of Social Enterprises with overall young adult programming. This position&nbsp; will serve as a crucial link and building place for the integration between UTEC’s young&nbsp; adult-facing programming and the development and management of social enterprises.&nbsp; This will involve:
<ol>
<li>Close collaboration with the Workforce Director and Sr. Director of Programming</li>
<li>Awareness of the needs, interests, and skills of the young adults enrolled in&nbsp; programming,&nbsp;</li>
<li>Alignment with their direct reports in the learning objectives of young adults&nbsp; identified in the intake and program delivery processes&nbsp;</li>
</ol>
</li>
<li>Fiscal Oversight of three unique P&amp;Ls, and the ability to adequately prepare forecasts&nbsp; and financial reports, ensuring accurate tracking of revenue and expenses.&nbsp;
<ol>
<li>Prepare Monthly manager’s reports to track financials of the Enterprises and be&nbsp; aware of their position against revenue objectives.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Develop and track key financial metrics, in partnership with our finance staff, to&nbsp; measure progress&nbsp;</li>
<li>Strategic partnership development and expense management to maximize or&nbsp; ensure profitability of the collective Social Enterprises&nbsp;</li>
<li>Identification of risk in P&amp;Ls and informing Sr. Leadership to strategically prepare&nbsp; for and plan around risk, to ensure the fiscal security and sustainability of the&nbsp; Enterprises&nbsp;</li>
</ol>
</li>
<li>Identify and foster partnership opportunities with businesses, nonprofits, and government&nbsp; organizations that will lead to:&nbsp;
<ol>
<li>Revenue growth either through grants/donations or the sale of UTEC products or&nbsp; acquisition of UTEC services&nbsp;</li>
<li>Development and major gift opportunities for the Social Enterprises and/or UTEC&nbsp; at large&nbsp;</li>
<li>Expense reduction through in-kind donations or preferred bidding opportunities h. Community engagement through mutually beneficial interactions either formal&nbsp; or informal&nbsp;</li>
<li>Employment or internship opportunities for our young adults. Share these connections with Program Pathways staff for young adult referral and/or placement.&nbsp;</li>
</ol>
</li>
<li>Oversee day-to-day execution of social enterprises to ensure operational excellence&nbsp;&nbsp;
<ol>
<li>Reporting to the Sr Director of Social Enterprises will be the Directors of each&nbsp; Enterprise who will oversee the day-to-day operations.&nbsp;</li>
<li>It will be the responsibility of the Sr. Director of SE to become familiar with&nbsp; operations and to develop strong, transferrable systems and practices within each space in conjunction with the directors to ensure consistency and&nbsp; sustainability.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Develop staff through clear goal-setting and ongoing feedback&nbsp;</li>
<li>Interface with the finance team in business analysis and reporting&nbsp;</li>
</ol>
</li>
<li>Partner with business development and marketing staff to develop marketing strategies and&nbsp; initiatives to promote the social enterprises and the UTEC brand&nbsp;</li>
<li>Work with the leadership team, and primarily the Chief Programming Officer to ensure the&nbsp; enterprises provide the optimal learning platform for young adults&nbsp;</li>
<li>Participate actively with the UTEC leadership team and in staff and young adult activities&nbsp;</li>
</ol>

Qualifications and Competencies&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated business acumen and leadership experience covering strategic planning,&nbsp; business development, and operational execution. Experience in the food industry is a plus.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Comfortable with hands-on work in terms of operations as well as the ability to step back to see the big picture and develop a vision for the future&nbsp;</li>
<li>Passion for being an effective coach, motivating and holding accountable all staff&nbsp; reporting to him/her to the highest levels of excellence&nbsp;</li>
<li>Demonstration of project management, business planning, and financial forecasting&nbsp; and tracking&nbsp;</li>
<li>Background in running business operations&nbsp;</li>
<li>Data-Driven: Committed to utilizing data to best improve operations and program&nbsp; quality&nbsp;</li>

Education and Experience&nbsp;&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Minimum of a Bachelor’s in a business field, MBA a plus&nbsp;</li>
<li>A minimum of 5-7 years of experience successfully operating a business unit or&nbsp; nonprofit with revenues above $2M</li>
</ul>

Compensation
$90,000-$100,000 plus benefits.
