POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Think Tank is seeking a highly motivated Fisheries Stock Assessment Model Developer Level I to support NOAA with the development, evaluation, and implementation of stock assessment methods and models. This role will advance NOAA Fisheries' mission of maintaining sustainable fisheries and healthy marine ecosystems by producing reliable scientific information for fishery management councils and partners.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fisheries science, quantitative ecology, or related fields, with demonstrated experience in data analysis, model development, and scientific communication. The position offers the opportunity to collaborate with national and regional stock assessment scientists, contribute to the NOAA Fisheries Toolbox (NFT), and participate in high-impact research and management efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
