Responsibilities:

Requirements:
<ul>
<li>PhD in with 0-3 years, a Masters with 6+ years, or a Bachelors with 8+ years of post-graduate academic or industry experience in relevant scientific fields such as immunology, cell/molecular biology or signal transduction</li>
<li>Experience culturing and assaying human and mouse immune cells and cell lines using standard cell biology and molecular techniques (flow cytometry, ELISAs, Western Blot, PCR) is required.</li>
<li>Experience culturing primary human B cells is a plus, as is experience designing viral vectors to express antigen receptors (particularly BCRs) and characterizing downstream signaling. </li>
<li>Ability to work within a dynamic, matrixed environment.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.</li>

Summary:
The Principal Application Scientist is responsible for conducting chromatography services, developing chromatographic methodology and providing technical insights to YMC America customers. This is a hands-on lab position that will utilize YMC chromatography products to conduct lab services mainly at internal YMC facilities and occasionally externally at customer sites. The developed insights will be used for promoting YMC products and for technical support / troubleshooting of clients who use YMC products.
The Principal Application Scientist will also be responsible for technical support of YMC chromatography media, technology and lab systems. They will be a “face of YMC technology” at customer sites and conferences. Responsibilities:

Work Environment

<li>Frequently required to work in a BSL 2 environment with personal protective equipment/aseptic gowning</li>
<li>Regularly required to work around large machinery and typical utilities seen in pharmaceutical facilities</li>
