Position Overview
Our small size Membrane Research and Development team, focused on development of new products, optimization of existing products and providing technical expertise to multiple teams, is looking for a chemical technician. An employee in this role, reporting to the team Sr. Scientist will conduct various activities related to membrane development and manufacturing, and will then summarize, present and clearly communicate results and findings.

Main Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>
Conduct in vitro experiments to support neuroimmunology and glia biology research initiatives.
</li>
<li>
Perform cell culture, CRISPR screening, and other cellular and molecular biology techniques.
</li>
<li>
Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data, providing insights to the research team.
</li>
<li>
Maintain meticulous lab records and adhere to all laboratory safety protocols.
</li>

About You
Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship
 Basics Qualifications:

Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or PhD in Neuroscience, Immunology, Biology, or related field at an accredited college or university with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by the Spring of 2027
</li>
<li>
Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the co-op/internship ​
</li>

Preferred Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>
​Strong hands-on experience with in vitro and in vivo models, particularly in neuroimmunology and glial cell biology.
</li>
<li>
Lysosomal biology is a plus.
</li>
<li>
Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
</li>
<li>
Experience with neuroinflammatory models or disease-related studies.
</li>
<li>
Knowledge of advanced microscopy techniques and image analysis.
</li>
<li>
Demonstrated success in a research or lab-based setting.
</li>

Winter, Spring 2026 Co-op-Intern -- Research Scientist

<h3>Job Description</h3>
Monte Rosa Therapeutics is looking for an energetic and self-motivated Discovery Immunologist who will join our Boston based, Immunology &amp; inflammation discovery biology team . Will be responsible for leveraging our novel platform to develop first-in-class medicines and new chemical modalities This role includes both strategic scientific thinking &amp; hands on bench-work. The candidate will make critical contributions to target identification &amp; validation, progression &amp; translational application of molecular glue degraders for immunology-related targets. The ideal candidate brings expertise in immunology, development of assays to test immune cell functions, translational application and a background in industrial small molecule drug discovery.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Review potential targets identified by our platform for therapeutic potential in non-oncology -related diseases with emphasis on autoinflammatory/immunology diseases</li>
<li>Devise &amp; implement biology strategy to drive target progression towards strategic milestones (biology program leadership)</li>
<li>Develop relevant assays to determine downstream effects of target degradation (e.g. signaling, viability, cytokine secretion, function) &amp; link phenotypes with disease biology</li>
<li>Interpret, present and report research findings at internal meetings and external scientific conferences in relevant context</li>
<li>Work collaboratively in a cross-functional team (e.g. chemistry, proteomics, data science, discovery sciences, animal care facility)</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>PhD or Postdoc equivalent in Immunology with 5+ years hands-on experience in drug discovery research in an industrial setting</li>
<li>Project lead experience and/or driving preclinical immunology-related targets towards milestones</li>
<li>Strong understanding of key drivers of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases &amp; passion for science and innovation</li>
<li>Proficient in immune cell isolation and multi-parameter flow cytometry</li>
<li>Extensive technical expertise in primary immune cell functional assay development</li>
<li>Experience with a variety of molecular &amp; cell biology methods and assays such as western blotting, JESS/WES, ELISA, qRT-PCR, CRISPr/shRNA, cytokine secretion, transcriptomics</li>
<li>Ability to implement and/or oversee in vivo and ex vivo murine studies</li>
<li>Experience with external CROs to support project progression and meet deadlines</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, action-oriented, cross-functional team environment</li>
<li>Experience managing and mentoring direct reports</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate scientific results and implications in a concise and context-dependent manner</li>
<li>Excellent organizational &amp; time management skills with flexibility to accommodate rapidly changing priorities and deadlines</li>
<li>Protein degradation experience is a plus</li>
