<li>Understand and apply safety rules and policies for the aquatics area.</li>
<li>Conduct and maintain accurate records including chemical testing, bather loads, accident reports.</li>
<li>Properly dressed and on deck ready to work prior to scheduled start time.</li>
<li>Responsible for securing substitutes to cover scheduled shifts in the case of an absence. Report coverage to supervisor.</li>
<li>Utilize and carry proper safety equipment at all times.</li>
<li>Adequately react and respond to emergencies or skill audits.</li>
<li>Ensure the pool is always secure.</li>
<li>Attend all staff meetings and trainings as required.</li>
</ul>
Schedule &amp; Pay:
Flexible part-time hours
Preferred availability is for weekends within the hours of Saturday 7:00a - 4:00p and Sunday 8:00a - 1:00p
 
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Minimum age of 15</li>
<li>Certifications: CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid, O2</li>
<li>Current YMCA Lifeguarding or Red Cross Lifeguarding</li>
<li>Ability to maintain or obtain certifications - level of physical and mental readiness.</li>
<li>Must demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA or Red Cross standards.</li>
