The afternoon athletic trainer is a member of the school’s athletic department, reports to the athletic director, and works closely with students, coaches, and parents to provide sports-related injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services. This role is critical in ensuring a safe and supportive athletic environment. This is a part-time,&nbsp; 10-month position generally providing coverage on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:30 p.m. through 5:30 p.m. &nbsp; Additional weekend and after-school hours may be required, particularly on game days.

Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Assess, treat, and manage athletic injuries and conditions. Develop and implement injury prevention programs.</li>
<li>Establish, communicate, and implement protocols to assist with preventing and rehabilitating student athletes’ injuries.</li>
<li>Act as the primary resource to conduct initial on-site assessment and treatment of student athletes’ injuries or illnesses.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Provide immediate care and first aid in case of sports-related injuries or emergencies.</li>
<li>Determine if a student requires a referral for emergency or continued care or a definitive diagnosis and treatment by the School’s Health Office or physician.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Communicate instances of student injuries to the Director of Athletics, the Health Office, and appropriate school administrators.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Submit student injury reports in a timely and accurate manner, maintaining clear communication with coaches, parents, school nurses, and healthcare providers as needed.</li>
<li>Evaluate students’ readiness to play following an injury and report the progress of recovering athletes to coaches, the Health Office, and the school’s physician as appropriate.&nbsp;</li>
<li>&nbsp;Work with coaches, parents, and medical professionals to coordinate care and develop comprehensive treatment plans.</li>
<li>Assist with the proper use and maintenance of athletic equipment and supplies.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, and rehabilitation. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.</li>
<li>Educate athletes on injury prevention, nutrition, and overall wellness. Conduct workshops and training sessions as needed.</li>
<li>Assist with game-day setup and breakdown, including providing water stations and supporting related duties as needed.</li>

Qualifications

<li>National Athletic Trainers Association Board certification&nbsp;</li>
<li>&nbsp;Massachusetts Licensure in good standing&nbsp;</li>
<li>CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification</li>
<li>A bachelor’s degree in athletic training, exercise physiology, health education, adolescent/child development, or a related field&nbsp;</li>
<li>CPR, AED, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogens certification&nbsp;</li>
<li>Experience as an athletics trainer, preferably working with middle school-aged students&nbsp;</li>
<li>Committed to fostering and contributing to a positive team culture</li>
<li>Able to communicate and collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues.&nbsp;</li>

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Certified Personal Trainer will be responsible for providing one-on-one and couples personalized fitness instruction in person to clients at their home, apartment gym or outside while encouraging them to reach their fitness goals. Responsibilities are as follows:

<li>Customize client workout programs developed from the Initial Assessment</li>
<li>Utilize the Svetness Fitness App for all client sessions, including programming &amp; session notes</li>
<li>Demonstrate each exercise and ensure client is performing correctly with or without modifications</li>
<li>Conduct client Reassessments every 4-6 weeks</li>
<li>Maintain client session appointments through Svetness scheduling software</li>
<li>Able to provide a flexible schedule to accommodate client appointments</li>
<li>Able to commute to and from client sessions up to 45 minutes</li>

QUALIFICATIONS

<li>Certified Personal Trainer: Accredited by NCCA, DEAC, or NBFE.</li>

We have established a record of quality operations and have grown to be the largest operator of public arenas in the United States. FMC operates 25 public ice-skating arenas across the state of Massachusetts in long-term partnership agreements with the Commonwealth and various municipalities as well as educational institutions.
 
FMC is looking for Lead Instructors to work under the general supervision of each program's Supervisor. These positions assist or instruct groups and related lessons for FMC learn to skate and/or learn to play programs. General responsibilities will include interacting with children and adults, demonstrating proper skating techniques, and performing various customer experience related duties.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Educates the public to the habits and attitudes of safe ice activities.</li>
<li>Accurately evaluates placements of students for skating instructions.</li>

Requirements:
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

<li>Previous experience assisting or teaching skating classes is preferred.</li>
<li>Applicants must be able to ice skate proficiently. Figure skaters should have achieved and passed ISI Freestyle 4 or USFS Freeskate 4 and up. Hockey players should have participated in multiple years of formal league play.</li>

Compensation: Base pay range: $22 - $32 per hour for instructor-related work. Pay based on experience and industry-related qualifications. Pay range for non-instructor-related work is $16-$17 per hour based on Instructor level.
