Mature Caregivers is seeking a male companion who will enjoy providing one to one engagement to a 66 year old male client in Wellesley. &nbsp; The client lives with his wife who will spend time running errands while companion is with her husband.&nbsp; The client has Parkinson's Disease and mild to moderate cognitive impairment.&nbsp; He is very pleasant, but it can be difficult for him to engage in and initiate conversation.&nbsp; The companion is expected to spend time with client doing things he enjoys such as taking a walk, going for a car ride, visiting the senior center or library, going out for lunch, or watching TV or movie at the house. &nbsp; The client enjoys sports of all kinds and does like to stay active.&nbsp; The priority shift is weekly on Fridays 8:15am-12:15pm and possibly Tuesdays (same or similar schedule).&nbsp; The request is for a&nbsp; male companion who has similar interests and who would enjoy some of the listed activities.&nbsp; Preference will be given to applicants who have experience with Parkinson’s Disease and/or working with individuals with cognitive impairments. Position Summary Mature Caregivers is seeking experienced female Caregivers to provide care to 82 yr old female client with Dementia and mobility issues.&nbsp; She is recovering from surgery for a broken arm. &nbsp; The client will need assistance with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming,&nbsp; toileting, incontinence care), safety and supervision when ambulating (uses a rollator), medication reminders, meal preparation, and companionship.&nbsp; There are two small friendly dogs in the home.&nbsp; Caregiver will have minimal pet care responsibilities like letting the dogs outside (not walking dogs) and giving food and water.&nbsp; The desired schedule is Monday and Thursday 7a-5p and Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8a-3p.&nbsp; The schedule can be split between two caregivers.&nbsp; The pay rate is $22/hour. &nbsp;

Summary: The Residential Manager ensures the quality of care and successful daily operations of a residential home for the people served. This includes ensuring maintaining quality standards, coordinating the hiring, training, and supervision of staff, financial management of the program budget, and monitoring the medical and clinical needs of the people living in the home.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am-5:00pm (40 Hours) 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
<ol>
<li>Ensure program, agency, and accreditation standards are met concerning quality of care including individual behavior and treatment plans, ISP documentation, HCSIS, and other documentation as required, and in line with Bridgewell Policies &amp; Procedures.</li>
<li>Ensure the staffing needs of the program are met based on defined ratios and attendance of persons served. This includes coordination of work schedules, hiring of new staff, and coordinating the use of per diem and agency relief staff, as needed.</li>
<li>Positively manage staff by conducting monthly supervisions with each staff and team meetings; supporting, coaching, and mentoring staff to develop skills and abilities, and providing recognition opportunities for staff. Provide timely Performance Evaluations. Ensure performance standards are met, and proactively address performance concerns, working with program management and Human Resources, as appropriate.</li>
<li>Ensure employees maintain certifications (such as CPR/1st Aid, MAP, PPS, and PABC, as required) and complete all other training requirements of Bridgewell and the program's funding sources.</li>
<li>Ensure administrative duties are completed and followed as required in areas including finance, human resources, payroll, quality assurance, electronic health records, and Medication Administration Procedures.</li>
<li>Responsible for On-Call coverage based on a rotating schedule for that particular program, and/or cluster, as designated. On-call coverage includes addressing concerns and providing direction to employees, managing call-outs and scheduling per diem staff, on-call reporting, and possible coverage of shifts if staffing cannot be coordinated for a shift.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with clinical and nursing teams to ensure the behavioral and medical needs of persons served are met. Collaborate with all service providers, ensuring communication and documentation are clear concerning the coordination and management of each person's needs.</li>
<li>Work with guardians and family members on issues related to the care and services provided to their family members. Communicate proactively, as appropriate, working to build a positive relationship, and ensuring staff are also trained in the best practices of working with families.</li>
<li>Manage the financial responsibilities of the program, including program expenses, monitoring overtime, supply ordering, and monthly budget review.</li>
<li>Ensure people served are provided support with financial needs, such as managing funds, applying for food stamps, social security, Mass Health, housing vouchers/section 8 applications, and/or employment.</li>
<li>Provide direct care in the absence of program staff, as needed. This can include covering individual shifts, as well as, assisting with management needs in other programs where either a management vacancy or extended absence is occurring.</li>
<li>Coordinate or assist with program community outings and meetings with families. Ensure all information and materials required for any meeting or outing is adequately prepared, and that positive relationships are built and maintained. Ensure positive neighbor relationships are maintained, and that any concerns are raised to senior management.</li>
<li>Manage the technology needs of the program, including employee time and attendance, and data management/electronic health record systems. Ensure information is tracked as required, and system needs and issues are raised to the IT Department or Payroll Department, as appropriate.</li>
<li>Ensure vehicles assigned to the program maintain registrations as required and receive maintenance as scheduled. Coordinate and address needs with the Transportation Department. Ensure employee use of the vans follows established Bridgewell protocols—report accidents promptly to Transportation.</li>
<li>Ensure the confidentiality of Personal Health Information, records of persons served, and other related information complies with HIPAA and other state or federal mandates.</li>
<li>Ensure safe operations of the program by providing safety training per the Safety Calendar, addressing program physical maintenance needs, conducting audits as required, and alerting management to any concerns.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>
</ol>
Required Education/Experience:
<ol>
<li>Bachelor's Degree preferred. An Associate's Degree with a minimum of 2 years in a direct support role or significant industry experience, instead of a degree, may be considered at the discretion of management.</li>
</ol>
Required Skills/Knowledge:
<ol>
<li>Strong people management skills to lead in a climate of positive collaboration, including direct ability to work with people supported in programs.</li>
<li>Competent in technology including the ability to coordinate entry into a data management system, use Microsoft Office products proficiently, and records management systems.</li>
<li>Ability to be certified and maintain such certification, in PPS, PABC Tier 1 and 2, medication administration, and any other certification required based on program needs.</li>
<li>Strong writing skills and verbal communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and maintain a high level of organization. </li>
<li>Ability to drive a large and/or wheelchair van, as well as, hold a valid driver's license with a minimum of one year of driving experience in the United States.</li>
</ol>
Physical Demands: The physical demands of staff working in residential programs assisting people with their care needs are varied, and require the employee to be able to maneuver people of varying weights, and provide lifting, balance support, and physical intervention in several scenarios. Described below are essential requirements of staff to ensure the safety of employees and persons served alike. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable a person with a disability to perform the essential functions; however, approval will be based on the needs of the persons served and consideration of safety factors related to any program or position within a program.

<li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be able to climb stairs, physically assist persons served, often weighing over 200 pounds, with movement, bathroom routines including toileting, assisting with entry and exit of a tub or shower, getting into and out of wheelchairs or dealing with assists that include physical, behavioral and medical interventions.</li>
<li>The employee must be able to lift and/or move a minimum of 40 pounds.</li>
<li>The employee must have a normal range of eyesight with or without corrective lenses, and have a normal range of hearing with or without corrective equipment.</li>
