Job Summary:
The Quality Control Technician will directly support the Quality Control Lead at DreamFields Massachusetts in Tyngsborough, MA. This position inspects products and accurately tracks types and quantities of defects. This role is responsible for ensuring only products adhering to company specifications will proceed to distribution or the next stage of the manufacturing process.
 
Duties/Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Inspect products before, during, and/or after the manufacturing process to ensure incoming or outgoing products align with company and legal standards. This may include raw materials, work-in-process materials, finished goods, and/or finished packaged cases.</li>
<li>Review and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and specifications.</li>
<li>Pass or reject products as necessary to ensure compliance with applicable cannabis regulations as well as DreamFields' specifications, policies, and procedures.
<ul>
<li>Correctly categorize rejects in accordance with the observed defect(s).</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Document inspection results by accurately counting and reporting quality-related data quarterly (every 2 hours). Real-time data entry is required during cannabis raw material QC inspections.</li>
<li>Raise red flags and provide detailed notes as needed to internally communicate quality- or compliance-related issues clearly and effectively.</li>
<li>Collaborate with QC and/or production leadership and team members as needed to contribute to error reduction and process enhancements.
<ul>
<li>Identify and communicate quality-related insights and opportunities for continuous improvement to QC and Production Leads.</li>
<li>Support identification of appropriate corrective actions.</li>
</ul>

<li>Properly use and maintain QC equipment and materials in accordance with approved methods and Good Manufacturing Practices. Maintain sanitary conditions at workstation(s).</li>

Minimum Qualifications

<li>Ability to operate computer terminals, printers, copy machines, telephone systems, and facsimile machines</li>
<li>Machines and Equipment Used: Check stuffer and sealer, computer workstation, printers</li>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li>
<li>Previous scheduling experience is a plus, not a requirement.</li>
