
Zoning Enforcement Coordinator
The Franklin Regional Council of Governments (FRCOG) seeks a full-time Zoning Enforcement Coordinator to assist and advise the Franklin County Cooperative Inspection Program Building Commissioner in all areas of zoning review and enforcement, and to provide professional administrative work, among other related tasks. FRCOG aims to foster a vibrant, sustainable region, while leveraging resources that promote collaboration and efficiency within our member communities. We provide advocacy, planning, and cooperative services – proactively and in direct response to our members’ needs. The right person for this job possesses excellent customer service, admin, and computer skills; has experience reading, researching and understanding state and federal zoning laws and town bylaws; and can address multiple priorities as they evolve, using professional judgment. The ideal candidate has an associate’s degree in administrative, business, public management or related field; a minimum of 2 yrs experience in the zoning, planning or building field; and 3 yrs of clerical/admin experience — or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with municipal government operations, zoning laws, and regulations, and experience dealing directly with the public strongly preferred.
