Warehouse Operations Associate

Ellis Music Company is a family‑owned business specializing in school music instrument rentals, sales, and repairs across VT & NH. We are looking for a reliable, detail‑oriented warehouse team member to help keep our operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Instrument Care & QC
  – Polish, inspect, label and pack instruments and cases
  – Ensure outgoing orders include all accessories
  
• Inventory & Repairs
  – Track rental returns, repairs and loaner prep via our inventory system
  – Alert the repair shop manager when stock is low
  
• Shipping & Receiving
  – Unload/load trucks, pack/unpack shipments, and manage mail
  – Process inbound repairs and outbound rentals in manager’s absence
  
• Customer Support
  – Contact customers with repair estimates
  – Help resolve instrument mix‑ups with educators
  
• Facility Upkeep
  – Restock showroom, maintain clean and organized workspaces
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Skills & Abilities:
  – Basic computer literacy (POS/inventory systems)
  – Excellent attention to detail and basic math skills
  – Ability to lift 20 lb frequently and 50 lb with a hand truck
  – Comfortable sitting/standing for long periods, bending, reaching
  – Casual, safe attire (closed‑toe shoes required)
  
• Attitude:
  – Willingness to learn quickly (musical‑instrument knowledge a plus)
  – Self‑starter who works well independently and as part of a team
