This pivotal position is located near Worcester, MA, for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. What You’ll Need:

  • Active Massachusetts Special Education Teacher licensure (required)
  • Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
  • Strong understanding of middle school curriculum and the unique needs of this age group
  • Ability to lead and coordinate instructional strategies within a specialized program (TLC)
  • Skilled in developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for partnering with families, staff, and support professionals

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead Special Education Teacher for the TLC program, supporting students with diverse learning needs
  • Develop, adapt, and implement effective instructional plans targeting students’ individualized goals
  • Monitor and document student progress, making ongoing adjustments to instructional strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and paraprofessionals to deliver comprehensive support
  • Facilitate IEP meetings, maintain compliance with state and federal special education requirements
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and structured classroom environment that encourages student growth
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices
