The general maintenance position involves a wide range of tasks to keep the property in good working order and ensure guest comfort. This includes performing routine maintenance, making repairs, and addressing emergency issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and building structures.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Routine Maintenance:
    • Inspecting and maintaining HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and comfortable indoor temperatures.
    • Changing air filters and addressing minor issues in HVAC units.
    • Performing preventative maintenance on equipment and tools to minimize downtime.
    • Cleaning and maintaining property exteriors, including grounds, pools, and sports facilities.
  • Repairs and Troubleshooting:
    • Fixing leaks, clogs, and faulty fixtures in plumbing systems.
    • Making basic electrical repairs, such as replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
    • Repairing or replacing furniture and fixtures.
    • Patching and painting walls and ceilings.
  • Emergency Response:
    • Responding promptly to emergency maintenance requests, such as leaks, power outages, or structural damage.
    • Collaborating with other team members to prioritize and resolve urgent matters.
  • Other Duties:
    • Performing general cleaning tasks and assisting with upkeep of the facilities.
    • Maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment.
    • Following safety and sanitation procedures.
    • Assisting other departments as needed to ensure guest service.
  • Qualifications:
    • Some experience in general maintenance, preferably in hospitality.
    • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work flexible hours.
