As a Speech-Language Pathologist working under a contract arrangement, you’ll create a significant impact in students’ educational journeys, collaborating closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid and current licensure for Speech-Language Pathology in Massachusetts
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred, though Clinical Fellows will be considered
- Previous experience in a school-based SLP role or with pediatric populations strongly desired
- Competent in evaluating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Effective communication, organizational, and time management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment outcomes
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy in accordance with IEPs
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, session notes, and required documentation
- Collaborate with special education staff, general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide holistic support
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress reports
- Educate students, staff, and families about speech and language strategies
