Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Brightside Health Center, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Group Therapy Facilitation: Lead small group sessions, providing a safe space for clients to share experiences and insights, enhance their social skills, and learn from one another.

  • Individual Therapy: Conduct one-on-one sessions, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques tailored to the individual’s needs.

  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans, establishing measurable goals and outcomes that reflect their unique journeys.

  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess client progress using various assessment tools and adjust treatment strategies as necessary, ensuring each client is on the path toward achieving their goals.

  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with our team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to coordinate care and ensure holistic treatment approaches are employed.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on young adults aged 18 to 30 in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), which includes individuals coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health disorders. You will foster an environment where they can express themselves freely, gain insights into their challenges, and build coping mechanisms that lead to lasting recovery.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.

  • Current Massachusetts licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) is required.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for supporting young adults in overcoming their mental health challenges.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with experience working in outpatient mental health settings or a strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic modalities will be given preference. Familiarity with telehealth practices and technology is also a plus, as it enables you to maximize the effectiveness of remote counseling.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 85,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
