Job Description
Job DescriptionDoctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Start Date: Early October
Assignment Length: Approximately 13 weeks
Schedule: 5 days/week, 8-hour shifts
Shift: Day shifts; pharmacy hours are approximately 8:00 AM–7:00 PM
Location: Nantucket, Massachusetts
About the Opportunity
RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced Retail/Outpatient Pharmacist for a 13-week assignment with a hospital-affiliated outpatient pharmacy in beautiful Nantucket, MA.
The pharmacist will be helping cover an open vacancy and should be comfortable working in a busy outpatient/retail pharmacy environment. The pharmacy utilizes McKesson EnterpriseRx.
Ideal Candidate
Active Massachusetts Pharmacist (RPh) license
Previous retail or outpatient pharmacy experience
Available to work full-time, 5 days per week
Strong patient-care and communication skills
Positive, dependable attitude
Comfortable working independently while being part of a healthcare team
Travel & Housing
This is a unique opportunity to experience life on Nantucket while working a full-time pharmacy assignment.
Nantucket is accessible by ferry, so candidates should be comfortable with island travel.
The hospital provides an apartment for travelers when available.
Due to the significant housing shortage on Nantucket, the pharmacist will most likely need to stay in shared housing with other travelers during the assignment.
Candidates should be prepared to spend most of the assignment on the island.
