Post-Anesthesia Care Unit Registered Nurse - Hyannis, MA

Join our client’s team as a Travel Registered Nurse in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients throughout the recovery process. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced RN who thrives in a collaborative environment and brings strong clinical judgment, technical expertise, and a commitment to patient safety.

The selected RN will support patient assessment, recovery, medication administration, monitoring, education, and discharge planning while maintaining professional nursing standards and delivering service excellence.

  • Travel assignment from October 26, 2026, through January 23, 2027
  • $2,800 per week
  • 40 hours per week
  • 5x8-hour shifts
  • Rotating shift starts between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
  • No regular weekends or holidays scheduled
  • Comprehensive PACU and perioperative patient care responsibilities
  • Opportunity to collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary care teams

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, monitor, and document patients throughout admission, recovery, and discharge
  • Administer medications and evaluate patient responses
  • Perform IV starts and support hemodynamic and ventilator monitoring
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care
  • Communicate pertinent clinical information with healthcare professionals
  • Support patient and family education
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records and nursing documentation
  • Promote patient safety, confidentiality, quality improvement, and service excellence
  • Serve as a clinical resource and contribute to staff education and professional development

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Massachusetts RN license
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • At least one year of recent experience within the past five years in ICU, CVICU, CVPA, ER, SDC, or PACU
  • PACU or SDC experience preferred
  • Demonstrated IV, hemodynamic monitoring, and ventilator-care skills
  • BSN preferred
  • Successful completion of required pharmacology and basic arrhythmia examinations
  • Strong English communication, reading, and writing skills
