Direct Counsel is seeking a Debt Finance Associate Attorney to join a leading global law firm.
Locations: Boston, Massachusetts; Los Angeles, California; New York, New York; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; San Francisco, California; Santa Monica, California; Silicon Valley, California; Washington, D.C.
Position Overview
The attorney will join the firm's Debt Finance group and represent private equity sponsors, banks, and private credit lenders in sophisticated financing transactions, including leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings, and corporate growth transactions.
Responsibilities
- Represent private equity sponsors, banks, and private credit lenders in debt financing transactions
- Advise clients on term and revolving loan facilities
- Work on leveraged buyouts and acquisition financings
- Assist with corporate growth financing transactions
- Draft and negotiate credit agreements and commitment papers
- Draft and negotiate collateral agreements and related deliverables
- Work on sophisticated transactions alongside experienced finance attorneys
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in debt finance or a closely related practice
- Outstanding academic credentials
- Comparable law firm experience
- Experience working with credit agreements and commitment papers
- Experience drafting and negotiating collateral agreements and related deliverables
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Relevant bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly
Compensation
$225,000–$260,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
