Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a committed Occupational Therapist to provide specialized support within a K-12 school setting located just 20 minutes outside of Boston, in Brockton, MA. This full-time contract position is designed to fill an Occupational Therapist maternity leave, offering a meaningful role in delivering essential services to students across all grade levels.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans to support student development and functional independence.
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to implement effective therapeutic interventions aligned with educational goals.
- Monitoring and documenting student progress while adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Providing guidance on adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to enhance learning environments.
- Participating in meetings and contributing to individualized education program (IEP) development.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience serving school-aged children in K-12 environments.
- Familiarity with school-based therapy models and effective communication with educational teams.
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently within the academic calendar, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and staff.
Position Details:
- Contract duration from approximately March 26 through June 12.
- Potential for Extended School Year (ESY) employment based on candidate interest.
- Located in Brockton, MA, approximately 20 minutes outside of Boston.
- Full-time commitment during the contract period.
