Catholic Charities is seeking a Counselor/Case Manager to join our team! The Women’s Recovery Program provides a voluntary women’s residential program for the treatment of a substance use disorder and co-occurring enhanced disorder(s) that runs three to six months. Referrals are provided through various treatment facilities and hospital units throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Women will have access to registered nurses and on-site psychiatric assistance with the ultimate goal of achieving sobriety and stability.
Primary Responsibility: This position provides counseling, both individually and in group settings, while being responsible for the overall development, implementation and evaluation of treatment planning and educational programs for all residents within the Women’s Recovery Program. This position provides direct individual, group, educational, clinical or case management services to clients. This position is responsible for assisting clients to obtain needed services by providing information, referral coordination and followup, develop and connect with resources that address both substance use and mental health disorders; coordinate medical and behavioral services offered through health insurance, coordinate MAT and psychiatric services while client is in the program, as well as assisting in the aftercare plan.
Licenses
- Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor (CADC) certification or LADC II (Licensed Alcohol Drug Counselor-Level -II).
- Valid Driver’s License.
Education and Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in dealing with Substance Use and Co-Occurring Disorders as noted in ASAM 3.1 level of care.
- Knowledge and experience in addiction counseling and/or case management.
- Experience in the use of the 12-core functions of the Substance Abuse Counselor.
- Experience in either substance use or mental health use disorder counseling.
Skills/Abilities
- Able to read, write and speak English (bilingual preferred).
- Able to write legible reports.
- Possess basic computer skills in Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to communicate with persons of varied backgrounds and cultures.
- Must be able to maintain professionalism with clients, co-workers and in the community.
- Ability to climb stairs to access all locations of Catholic Charities.
