Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering personalized nursing care by employing the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating patient care and conducting thorough assessments.
- Providing patient education and triage services.
- Implementing various nursing interventions.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, to plan, execute, and assess care.
The RN is expected to demonstrate proficiency and operate within the full scope of nursing practice, adhering to age and population-specific standards relevant to their clinical environment. Compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice is essential. Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program is preferred, including institutions recognized by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
- A Bachelor's Degree in nursing is preferred.
- Possession of an unencumbered RN license from the State Board of Nursing in the state where practice occurs, or multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
- Must obtain and maintain necessary department-specific licenses, competencies, and certifications.
