General Manager | Manufacturing Leadership

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a well-established manufacturing operation in the Worcester, MA area. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, developing people, managing a union workforce, and supporting the continued growth of the business.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is equally comfortable on the shop floor, coaching supervisors, partnering with customers, and collaborating on strategic business initiatives. This individual will serve as a key bridge between production employees and management while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Lead all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production, quality, maintenance, and planning
\n
✔ Develop and mentor supervisors, managers, and future leaders
\n
✔ Build strong relationships with a union workforce and labor representatives
\n
✔ Drive safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives
\n
✔ Support customer relationships and business development efforts
\n
✔ Manage budgets, operational performance, and strategic growth initiatives
\n
✔ Champion a culture of employee engagement, accountability, and operational excellence

Qualifications:

- 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
- Proven success leading operations in a unionized environment
- Strong background in operations management, workforce development, and continuous improvement
- Experience driving plant performance, productivity, and profitability
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
- Experience within metals, forging, aerospace, defense, industrial, or heavy manufacturing environments is highly preferred
