Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide summer Extended School Year (ESY) services at a specialized high school program in Ludlow, MA. This position supports the Compass High Program, which serves students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences through a personalized and supportive educational setting focused on developing independence skills.
Location:
- Ludlow, Massachusetts
- Assignment at a high school setting, part of a regional educational collaborative
Schedule and Duration:
- Contract length from July 6, 2026, through August 7, 2026
- 15 to 20 hours per week, spread over 2 to 3 days
- Potential to continue for the 2026-2027 school year based on performance and program needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services within the Compass High Program
- Provide support to high school students with ASD and other learning profiles
- Offer Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) therapy and supportexperience with AAC service delivery is essential, though AAC evaluations are not required
- Collaborate with educational and clinical staff to tailor interventions that enhance student communication and independence
Required Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure fulfilling SLP requirements for school settings
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) is highly preferred
- Experience working in educational or ASD-focused environments advantageous
- Strong understanding of AAC strategies and service provision
