Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to support students in a special education setting in Wilmington, Vermont. This is a full-time opportunity working with elementary-aged students (K–5th grade) across two school locations. You will play a key role in providing behavioral and academic support tailored to each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small group behavioral support to students
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA or school team
- Support students with academic, social, and emotional development
- Collect and track data on student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
- Maintain a structured, positive, and supportive learning environment
Qualifications:
- Active RBT Certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children or in a school setting
- Associate’s degree OR completion of the ParaPro Assessment
- Experience working in special education settings preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Position Details:
- Start Date: Immediate
- End Date: End of School Year
- Schedule: 7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week
- Setting: Special Education
- Caseload: 1–4 students throughout the day (varies based on IEPs and school needs; may include 1:1 or small group support)
- Locations: Two school sites within the district
