Our client, a leading consulting company, is looking for a Contracts Specialist/In-House Paralegal to join their internal legal team. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing contract lifecycles, ensuring compliance, and supporting business operations through effective contract administration. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate closely with legal and sales teams, contributing to the seamless execution of agreements.
Role: Contracts Specialist/In-House Paralegal
Location: Beverly, MA
Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 (depending on experience)
Schedule: In-office, but flexibility to work from home when needed
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, redline, and manage a high volume of contracts, including Statements of Work (SOWs), Master Services Agreements (MSAs, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Vendor and consulting agreements, Amendments and addenda, and more.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders daily (e.g., procurement, sales, IT, operations) to gather necessary information for contract terms
- Ensure compliance with company contracting policies, approval workflows, and risk management standards
- Manage the contract lifecycle from intake through execution and storage, using contract management systems (e.g., Ironclad, DocuSign, ContractWorks)
- Track key contract terms, renewals, expiration dates, and obligations
- Provide guidance and interpretation of contract terms to internal teams
- Support audits and reporting requests related to contractual obligations
- Help develop and maintain contract templates, clause libraries, and playbooks
- Assist with process improvements and automation initiatives related to contract workflows
Requirements:
- 1 or more years' experience as a contracts administrator/specialist or an in-house paralegal
- Understanding of contract structure and common legal terms
- Familiarity with contract management software and electronic signature platforms
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
