The Yachtsman Condominium Trust (YCT) is a self-managed property with 125 condominiums in Hyannis. The Property Manager Assistant - Groundskeeper (PAG) position is a part-time post with responsibility for the maintenance of the Yachtsman grounds. The PAG primary responsibility is to ensure the grounds are well-maintained in both appearance and functionality. Tasks will include trimming hedges, weeding, planting, and tending to the landscaping. The PAG also conducts garbage collection for the property. The PAG reports directly to the Yachtsman’s Property Manager and reports to the Board of the Trustees. The PAG communicates with the Property Manager regularly about property issues, as well as the Yachtsman’s policies and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain gardens and lawns include planting, fertilizing, weeding, soil conditioning, mulching, and working with landscaping vendors.
- Assist Property Manager in various tasks, including coordinating repairs, scheduling inspections, and communicating with Unit Owners.
- Pickup and dispose of refuse around the community.
- Follow the protocols set forth in the Yachtsman Property Management Manual.
- Perform any additional tasks as requested by the Property Manager.
Job Requirements:
- High School or equivalent plus applicable vocational or technical training.
- 2+ year groundskeeping experience, property management and/or condominium industry experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Independent problem solving and self-motivation are critical.
- Computer Skills: Gmail, Microsoft Office, Scanning.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
- Familiarity with landscaping equipment.
- Knowledge of gardening techniques.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Job Type:
Part-time In-Person during the Summer Season (June to Sept.).
30 to 40 hours/week, including Saturday & Sunday.
Some overtime required (on-call, weekends, 24hr emergency, etc.).
Salary:
$20.00 to $25.00/hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
