Key Qualifications:

• Current certification or licensure in Special Education (required).
• Direct experience leading a High School Life Skills classroom is highly valued.
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Skilled in functional goal-setting and supporting post-secondary transition planning.
• Experience supervising paraprofessionals or classroom support staff preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities.

Core Responsibilities:

• Manage a specialized classroom with responsibility for student learning, engagement, and safety.
• Guide and supervise paraprofessionals working within the classroom.
• Write and monitor IEPs, including functional and transition-oriented goals.
• Partner with families, administrators, and service providers to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
• Foster a positive, respectful classroom atmosphere that encourages growth and inclusion.
