The Registered Nurse Long Term Care Contract position is focused on delivering comprehensive nursing care in the transitional care unit of a rehabilitation center. This role involves providing patient care, managing medications, monitoring vital signs, wound care, and ensuring meticulous documentation and infection control. Working primarily 8- to 12-hour shift in the evening, the nurse will serve as an individual contributor with opportunities for contract extension or potential permanent placement.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in long term care rehabilitation settings
- Administer medications accurately and safely
- Develop and update individualized care plans
- Monitor and record vital signs regularly
- Perform wound care and treatment per protocols
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in electronic health records
- Implement infection control practices to prevent spread of disease
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year nursing experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Proven skills in patient assessment and medication administration
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Competence in wound care and infection control procedures

- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
