Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time, school-based position in Bethel, VT for the 2026–2027 school year. This opportunity focuses on an elementary student caseload, providing occupational therapy services that help students improve functional skills, classroom participation, and overall independence.
The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting student growth through collaborative, student-centered interventions in a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations, assessments, and direct therapy services to elementary-aged students
- Support the development of fine motor, visual-motor, sensory processing, self-regulation, and functional life skills
- Develop and implement therapy goals in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Ensure compliance with state, district, and federal special education guidelines
Qualifications
- Active or eligible Vermont Occupational Therapist License
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy
- School-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Knowledge of IEP processes and special education services
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
