This rewarding contract role offers hands-on experience working within an elementary classroom, supporting students with behavioral and autism spectrum needs. You'll collaborate closely with education staff in a dynamic educational setting near Manchester, New Hampshire, making a meaningful impact on students' daily lives.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification, or solid background as a Behavior Tech/Para with extensive behavior/ASD experience
- Proven experience supporting students in behavioral or autism spectrum settings (general classroom and 1:1 rotation)
- Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies and protocols, under the supervision of a school-based BCBA
- Capacity to work with non-verbal students and support behavioral modulation in classroom environments
- Ability to integrate into new classroom settings and adjust to students' evolving needs
- Must present RBT certificate and a blinded resume during the application process
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students, particularly those on a 1:1 rotation, assisting with daily activities and social integration
- Work collaboratively with teachers, instructional staff, and the supervising BCBA to implement and adjust behavioral intervention plans
- Rotate support among several students, addressing a variety of behavioral and communicative needs
- Foster a supportive, inclusive atmosphere to encourage student growth and participation
- Gradually increase presence within the school setting, in alignment with the needs of students and educational staff
Benefits and Schedule:Those successfully placed in this opportunity can expect competitive pay, with RBTs earning $25–29/hour and Behavior Tech/Paras earning $20–25/hour, depending on credentials and experience. The position is full-time, onsite only, Monday through Friday, 8:15 am to 3:15 pm, totaling 32.5 hours per week, and runs from October 12, 2026, through May 27, 2027.
