POSITION SUMMARY:
The Data Analyst – Pediatrics supports the organization’s analytical and reporting initiatives related to pediatric quality performance. This role focuses on building and maintaining accurate, automated reporting processes that enable leadership to monitor outcomes, identify trends, and improve overall clinical performance across pediatric centers. The position strengthens the company’s data infrastructure and ensures the delivery of reliable insights that guide strategic and operational decision-making.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Reporting & Dashboard Development
- Develop, automate, and maintain pediatric quality dashboards and performance reports to track key outcomes such as well child visits, immunizations, and follow-up care.
- Transition manual reports into standardized digital dashboards to support data automation goals.
Data Extraction & Validation
- Extract and validate clinical and claims data from multiple sources (eClinicalWorks, legacy EMRs, data warehouse) to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Document data logic, calculation methods, and reporting standards to support repeatable, auditable processes.
Analysis & Performance Monitoring
- Identify trends and opportunities for performance improvement through quantitative analysis.
- Participate in monthly and quarterly performance reviews by preparing and presenting supporting data.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with Quality, Operations, and Clinical teams to align metrics and ensure data consistency across systems.
- Translate complex data into actionable insights for internal stakeholders.
Data Quality & Standards
- Ensure pediatric quality metrics are consistently defined and applied across reporting tools.
- Maintain documentation of data sources, definitions, and logic to support transparency and auditability.
- Support data governance initiatives by identifying gaps and recommending improvements in data quality standards.
Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and Excel.
- Solid understanding of data validation, transformation, and visualization.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and organized.
- Demonstrates initiative and can work independently.
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Data Analytics, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare data analytics or reporting, preferably within a pediatric environment.
- Demonstrated experience working with EMR or clinical data (e.g., eClinicalWorks).
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not include supervisory responsibilities but may assist in training new staff members.
WORKING CONDITIONS
General office working conditions. May require occasional overtime during peak periods, such as month-end or year-end closings.
