What We’re Looking For:
- Previous school-based experience as a paraprofessional, including with behavioral needs
- ABA training or relevant applied experience supporting students with intensive needs
- Comfortable working with preschool-age children, including those in SPED populations
- High school diploma required
- Can provide at least one completed professional reference prior to moving forward
- Flexible and adaptable if classroom or assignment adjustments are needed
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site
- Able to pass background check, fingerprints, and agency onboarding as required by district
- Willing to interview via Zoom
Your Responsibilities:
- Support the preschool student’s learning, behavior, and participation in both intensive needs and general education settings
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to implement routines and individualized student strategies
- Adapt and modify instructional materials as needed
- Use behavioral techniques and ABA strategies to reinforce positive behaviors
- Assist with classroom activities and contribute to a safe, nurturing atmosphere
- Model patience, empathy, and enthusiasm in all interactions
