Job Description

Plumber / Future Leader – Build a Career With Real Growth

At Boston Budget Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, we’re building something different: a company where skilled plumbers can grow into leaders, trainers, managers, and maybe even future business owners.

If you already have some plumbing experience and want to eventually take your career beyond the wrench, into leadership, customer trust, and long-term opportunity, this is the place to do it.

We're looking for a motivated plumber who’s technically solid and highly ambitious.

Why This Role Is More Than Just Technical Plumbing

You already know how to turn a wrench.
What you may not have had yet is the chance to:

  • Run jobs like a profit-producing professional

  • Win customer trust and build lifetime value

  • Understand estimate creation, pricing, and job planning

  • Lead apprentices or other techs

  • Build systems, not just fix problems

  • Learn what it actually takes to run and scale a successful service company

  • Master communication, presentation, and customer education

  • Position yourself for leadership or even future ownership

This is where we help you grow from a “good plumber” into a successful plumber, the kind companies fight to keep or start their own companies.

What You’ll Do

  • Troubleshoot and repair residential plumbing systems

  • Install fixtures, piping, valves, water heaters, disposals, dishwashers, and more

  • Present repair options confidently and ethically

  • Educate customers in a friendly, approachable way

  • Use a company van (take-home) to run daily service calls

  • Document your work through tablet/smartphone

  • Work closely with dispatch and team leadership

  • Find and lead solutions to internal business problems

  • Help shape apprentices as you grow

This role blends skilled plumbing with communication, customer care, and career development.

What You Bring

  • Hands-on plumbing experience (service or install)

  • Strong troubleshooting instincts

  • A desire to grow beyond just technical work

  • Great communication and customer-facing skills

  • Ability to use a smartphone/tablet

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Flexibility for occasional on-call rotations

  • Ambition, curiosity, and pride in your work

You don’t need perfect credentials.
You do need drive.
