Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support an elementary school self-contained classroom in Keene, NH. This contract position runs through the current school year, with an expected start as soon as possible until June 16, 2026. The role offers 35 hours per week, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs.
  • Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaborate closely with classroom aides, therapists, and other educational professionals to support student growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families and school staff.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional development.

Qualifications:

  • Active New Hampshire teaching certification in Special Education required.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students in a self-contained classroom setting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of individualized educational programming and relevant special education laws.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate effectively with staff and families.
  • Commitment to promoting a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Location:

  • Elementary school classroom in Keene, New Hampshire.
