As the Occupational Therapist, you'll work directly with students and collaborate closely with educators to support success both in the classroom and beyond. You'll play a key role in evaluations, individualized education program (IEP) goal development, and delivering hands-on therapy. This assignment provides the chance to utilize your expertise while impacting students' development and achievement.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Current, active Occupational Therapist license in the state
- Background working with middle and high school populations is highly valued
- Strong skills in performing evaluations, developing IEP goals, and delivering both direct and consultative therapy services
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Organized, proactive, and passionate about helping students reach their full potential
Core Responsibilities:
- Assessing student needs and abilities through comprehensive evaluations
- Designing and implementing therapy interventions to address diverse physical, emotional, and educational goals
- Participating in IEP meetings and collaborating with multidisciplinary education teams
- Documenting progress and providing ongoing support to students, families, and staff
- Contributing to a positive, inclusive, and supportive school environment
