Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a full-time Special Education Teacher position at an early childhood school in Boston, MA. The role focuses on providing specialized instruction and support for students in PreK through 2nd grade within an intensive needs program. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with autism, developmental delays, and limited verbal communication, including familiarity with AAC devices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing individualized education plans for students with diverse learning needs
  • Utilizing specialized teaching strategies and assistive technology, including AAC devices
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student growth and development
  • Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment tailored to each students abilities

Qualifications:

  • Appropriate Massachusetts Special Education Teacher certification required, preferably with severe licensure
  • Experience working with young children (PreK-2) in special education settings
  • Knowledge of strategies for teaching students with autism and developmental delays
  • Proficiency with AAC devices and alternative communication methods
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
