Job Summary:The Quality Assurance Associate will perform critical incoming and in-process inspections on mechanical and electrical components to support production, engineering, and final product release activities. This role requires strong proficiency with measurement tools, documentation accuracy, and daily coordination with inspectors, engineering teams, and production partners.Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform incoming and in-process inspection on mechanical/electrical components using standard inspection equipment, including Height Gauges, Surface Plates, Verniers, Dial Indicators, Ring/Plug Gauges, Optical Comparators, CMM, and OGP.
  • Complete and/or review Incoming, In-Process, and Final Inspection documentation (Component Inspection Folders, checklists, release forms, calibration data records, etc.).
  • Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCEs) on nonconformances.
  • Perform detailed review of Device History Records and labels as part of final inspection and release of finished products.
  • Inspect field service replaceable units.
  • Perform requested inspections for Engineering and other departments (First Articles and Courtesy Inspections).
  • Assist with development of inspection procedures, checklists, forms, and Inspection Instructions.
  • Maintain QC Activity Collection Plans and other relevant tracking logs.
  • Prepare incoming inspection reports such as Inspection Projects, Skip Lot, and incoming inspection inventory.
  • Participate in Tier 1 meetings to review daily inspection priorities.
  • Work from inspection priority/aging reports and update EBS with daily transactions.
  • Access drawings through Agile and interact regularly with inspectors, production teams, and engineering.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Incoming Inspector.
  • Experience using height gauges, calipers, and surface plate inspections.
  • Ability to read and interpret prints and drawings.
  • Experience with mechanical/electrical component inspection processes.

Nice-to-Have Experience:

  • CMM or vision system experience (OGP).
  • Experience supporting Engineering with First Articles and procedure development.
  • Experience using Agile for drawing access.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency with inspection tools (height gauges, calipers, surface plates).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

Preferred Skills:

  • CMM or vision system skills.
  • Familiarity with EBS systems and data entry.
  • Strong documentation and inspection recordkeeping skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Additional Skills:

  • Use of Dial Indicators, Ring/Plug Gauges, Optical Comparators.
  • Review of Device History Records.
  • Maintenance of QC Activity Collection Plans and inspection logs.
  • Preparation of incoming inspection reports (Inspection Projects, Skip Lot, inventory).
  • Daily EBS transaction updates.
  • Accessing drawings via Agile.
