An opportunity is available for a Travel Pharmacist specializing in inpatient hospital pharmacy care. This role involves supporting the medication management needs of an inpatient hospital setting with a focus on reviewing and verifying IV medications to ensure patient safety and accurate administration.
Location:
- Wellsville, NY
Schedule:
- Day shifts rotating between 7:00 AM–3:30 PM and 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- One weekend per month
- Must work at least one holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s)
Responsibilities:
- Perform inpatient pharmacy duties including checking and verifying intravenous (IV) medications
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmaceutical care plans
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Manage medication dispensing and inventory within the inpatient setting
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in inpatient or clinical pharmacy practice
- Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and IV verification procedures
- Licensure as a pharmacist in good standing in the relevant state(s)
- Ability to work rotating shifts and on designated holidays
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
