Registered Nurse – Oncology (Infusion Therapy)
Location: Berlin, Vermont, United States
Start date: 09/07/2026
Duration: 16 weeks
Weekly pay: $2,467–$2,612 per week
Guaranteed hours: 0
Shift: 5x8 Days (8-hour daytime shifts, typically 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.)
Setting: Hospital-based outpatient infusion/hematology-oncology unit
Key Highlights

- 40 hours per week on a consistent 8-hour daytime schedule
- No weekend requirements
- Weekly pay range: $2,467–$2,612
- Mileage-based pay tiering for travel, with tier categories by distance
- Outpatient infusion/oncology care with chemotherapy and biotherapy administration
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
- Chemo and biotherapy certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Orientation: bi-weekly orientations on Mondays
Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy agents to adult patients in an outpatient infusion setting, following approved protocols and safety standards
- Monitor patient status during infusions, assess vitals, manage infusion-related symptoms, and respond to adverse events per policy
- Prepare and administer premedications and supportive therapies; manage IV access devices and maintain aseptic technique
- Document all patient care and infusion details in the Epic EMR; communicate changes to the oncology team
- Educate patients and families on treatment regimens, potential side effects, and at-home care, ensuring understanding and safety
- Collaborate with hematology/oncology clinicians, pharmacists, and nursing staff to coordinate care and ensure smooth clinic operations
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license and in good standing; Vermont licensure or eligibility to practice in Vermont
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience; 2 years of experience in hematology/oncology or infusion therapy preferred
- Certification in chemotherapy and biotherapy administration (clinic-based infusion experience) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Outpatient infusion/oncology experience within the past 2 years preferred
- Proficiency with Epic EMR within the past 2 years required
- Ability to work a Monday–Friday daytime schedule in an outpatient infusion clinic; no guaranteed weekend shifts
