Salary: $140,000–$190,000

The Opportunity

\n


\n

A leading and rapidly growing electrical contractor in the Greater Boston area is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join its Commercial Construction division.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established contractor with a substantial secured backlog and a strong pipeline of major projects throughout Boston, Cambridge and the wider New England market.

\n


\n

The business delivers some of the region's most complex electrical construction projects, with individual electrical packages reaching $50M–$80M+.

\n

There is particularly strong growth across Healthcare and Life Science, alongside an established portfolio spanning commercial, institutional, residential, hospitality, industrial and other technically demanding sectors.

\n

The Role

\n


\n

As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of major electrical construction projects from preconstruction through completion.

\n


\n

Responsibilities will include:

\n

    \n
  • Manage large-scale commercial electrical projects from award through closeout.
  • \n

  • Take ownership of project budgets, schedules and financial performance.
  • \n

  • Manage procurement, subcontractors, vendors and material requirements.
  • \n

  • Coordinate closely with field leadership and electrical construction teams.
  • \n

  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation.
  • \n

  • Produce accurate project forecasts and financial reporting.
  • \n

  • Maintain strong relationships with general contractors, owners and project stakeholders.
  • \n

  • Identify and manage project risk.
  • \n

  • Ensure projects meet contractual, quality and safety requirements.
  • \n

  • Coordinate project manpower and resources.
  • \n

  • Support project planning and preconstruction.
  • \n

  • Mentor Assistant Project Managers and junior project staff.
  • \n

What We're Looking For

\n

    \n
  • Experience as a Project Manager within commercial electrical construction.
  • \n

  • Strong knowledge of electrical construction and project delivery.
  • \n

  • Experience managing sizeable and technically complex projects.
  • \n

  • Strong financial and commercial project management skills.
  • \n

  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, change orders and procurement.
  • \n

  • Strong client-facing and communication skills.
  • \n

  • Ability to work effectively with field leadership, general contractors and project stakeholders.
  • \n

Experience within one or more of the following markets would be particularly relevant:

  • Healthcare / Hospitals.

  • Life Science / Biotechnology.
  • \n

  • Commercial Office.
  • \n

  • Higher Education / Institutional.
  • \n

  • Residential / High-Rise.
  • \n

  • Hotels / Hospitality.

  • Sports & Entertainment.

Healthcare and Life Science experience is particularly attractive as the business continues to expand heavily within these markets.

Projects & Growth

\n

The contractor has a substantial portfolio of secured projects extending several years into the future, including major healthcare, institutional and residential developments.

\n

Current electrical packages include projects valued at approximately $45M, $65M and $85M, alongside a significant pipeline of additional work throughout Greater Boston.

\n

This provides both excellent job security and genuine opportunities for progression as the division continues to expand.
