Position Summary:
The Parts Department Sales Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, sales growth, and profitability of the parts department at C2 Vehicles. This position plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and driving both retail and service department sales through exceptional service, efficient processes, and strategic sales initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on, organized, and energetic leader with technical knowledge of automotive parts and systems, combined with experience in online sales and digital inventory management. This individual possesses solid financial and business acumen, with the ability to analyze sales performance, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions that maximize profitability and operational efficiency. They will leverage online sales platforms, digital marketing tools, and data analytics to expand market reach, optimize inventory turnover, and enhance the overall customer experienceboth in-store and online.
This position is based at our Wareham, MA branch and requires onsite presence five days per week
Supervisory Responsibilities:Directly supervise and manage the parts and shipping department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and profitability:Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability, including promotions and other marketing activities. Forecast parts goals and objectives and work to meet or exceed them.
- Inventory management:Oversee the entire parts inventory process, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and organizing parts for maximum efficiency. Maintain balanced inventory levels to support the service department and retail customers while minimizing obsolescence.
- Develop and enhance online sales platform:
Take the lead in developing and continuously improving the company online platform for parts sales. Ensure that the platform is scalable, responsive, and optimized for user experience. Oversee the integration of new features and updates, ensuring the site remains current with product offerings, pricing, and promotions.
- Leadership and staff management:Recruit, hire, train, motivate, and mentor department staff. Monitor performance and provide coaching to help team members succeed.
- Customer service:Handle customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, providing technical assistance as needed. Ensure a high level of satisfaction for internal customers (service technicians) and external customers.
- Vendor relations:Maintain positive relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing, and ensure a timely and efficient flow of parts.
- Reporting:Track parts sales and inventory transactions, generating regular reports for management review. Analyze expenses, revenues, and inventory to maintain profitability goals.
- Compliance:Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as relevant safety regulations.
- Team collaboration:Work closely with the service department manager to ensure parts availability for repairs.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 35 years of experience in parts management, with previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and systems, preferably with experience in the golf cart or low-speed vehicle industry.
- Demonstrated experience in inventory management and using inventory software.
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets and performance goals.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with a high level of accountability and initiative.
Physical Requirements:
- The position involves working in both an office and a parts warehouse environment. It may require standing for extended periods, occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs., and navigating a fast-paced setting.
- Must be able to use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets
- Visual acuity to read printed materials and a computer screen
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and via email

Compensation: Annual Compensation: $60,000 - $100,000 (Base salary plus commission).
