Job Details:

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients in medical surgical telemetry unit
\n• May be asked to work as a backup Charge Nurse
\n• Participate in patient and family teaching
\n• Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel
\n• Work with Cerner EMR system
\n• Maintain nurse to patient ratio of 1:4/5 with average daily census of 22 patients
\n• Must be willing to float to any unit within scope of practice including Acute Rehab and Med Surg
\n• Work every other weekend and holidays as needed
\n• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
\n• Must have own vehicle as this is a small community without public transport
\n• 2 years recent Med Surg/Rehab experience required
\n• Charge RN experience required
\n• Previous travel experience (at least 3 months) required
\n• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
\n• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
\n• Vermont RN License or Compact required
\n• No more than 5 days of requested time off accepted
\n• Strict 3 strike rule for call offs enforced with potential contract termination
\n• Call offs must be communicated to unit supervisor at least 1.5 hours in advance
\n• Block scheduling requests will not be considered
