Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support K-12 students across various grade levels from elementary through high school in Brockton, MA. This full-time contract position begins ASAP and extends through the end of the current school year, offering an opportunity to positively impact the educational experience of students with special needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for a diverse K-12 caseload
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student success
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting instructional strategies as necessary
- Provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment tailored to each student's needs
- Maintain detailed and accurate records in compliance with district and state regulations
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade, with flexibility to serve various grade levels including elementary (grades K-5), middle school (grades 6-8), and high school (grades 9-12)
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and assessment methods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a full caseload with dedication and professionalism
