You’ll have the chance to make a real difference by working one-on-one with a student diagnosed with autism in a K-1 classroom. Your expertise will help guide behavior shaping and promote positive experiences throughout the school day. The role offers a consistent weekly schedule, totaling 32.5 hours per week.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
- Experience supporting students with autism or in an educational environment preferred
- Skilled in implementing individualized behavior intervention plans
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and school staff
- Excellent communication and observation skills
- A patient, compassionate, and reliable approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with a young student, providing direct behavior support and intervention
- Implement assessments and strategies designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA)
- Track student progress, collecting accurate data on behavior and learning
- Collaborate with educational and behavioral teams to develop effective intervention plans
- Offer support in both academic and social-emotional learning throughout the day
