Key Responsibilities\n

- Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and maintain detailed documentation from the intake of clients to the completion of their treatment plans.
- Evaluate mental, behavioral, and emotional health through comprehensive assessments to determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices for diverse client needs.
- Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, using tailored intervention techniques to foster client growth and healing.
- Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment strategies to optimize outcomes throughout the therapy process.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including other counselors, physicians, nurses, and social workers to create comprehensive intervention plans.
- Ensure continued communication and follow-up with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who require hospitalization.
- Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement preventive measures, while also supporting family members in managing challenges associated with mental health.

Qualifications\n

- A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts.
- A proven track record of passing either the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
- Strong familiarity with electronic health record systems, preferably hands-on experience with AVATAR or similar platforms.
- Solid understanding of best practices as suggested by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and their applications in real-world settings.
