Job Description
An Intune Job/Engineer/Microsoft Intune Administrator manages cloud-based endpoint security and configuration for Windows, iOS, macOS, and Android devices. They handle MDM/MAM, deploy apps, set compliance policies, and use tools like Windows Autopilot.
Key roles include managing security, troubleshooting, and reducing reliance on on-premise infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Device Management (MDM/MAM): Enroll, configure, and secure corporate and BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) devices using Microsoft Intune.
- Security & Compliance: Create, deploy, and monitor compliance policies, BitLocker, firewall settings, and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
- Application Deployment: Package, distribute, and update applications across various platforms.
- Deployment Methods: Utilize Windows Autopilot for zero-touch provisioning and manage device updates via Windows Update for Business.
- Identity & Access: Integrate with Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) for conditional access and role-based access control.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Resolve enrollment, policy, and app deployment issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Azure Active Directory, and Endpoint Configuration Manager.
- Platform Knowledge: Proficiency in managing Windows, iOS, macOS, and Android devices.
- Scripting: Experience with PowerShell or Microsoft Graph API for automation.
- Security Focus: Understanding of security baselines and data protection policies.
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, or equivalent experience, with certifications like Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
